Morgan Urbanovsky (Director) is a multidisciplinary Theatre artist and Austin native who specializes in safe, consent-based and equitable Theatre practices that protect the well-being and autonomy of all artists. She currently holds an MA in Theater from East Texas A&M University and will graduate with her MFA in Theater Pedagogy from the University of Idaho in May of 2026. For the past six years, she has been teaching middle and high school students around the Austin area in addition to directing, choreographing and acting for multiple theater companies. 

In the spring of 2024, she had the privilege of making her directorial debut at the Georgetown Palace Theater with Doubt by John Patrick Shanley. Her work continued in 2025, directing the show Stop Kiss by Diana Son. When obtaining her Bachelors at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, Morgan had the honor of directing the ‘Inaugural Seed Project’. This process allows one student to direct a full length, budgeted production of their choosing where she directed her first main stage project, Smokefall by Noah Haidle. In 2018, her senior capstone project was Hand to God by Robert Askins, winning her the award of Best Director and Best Capstone Project that year. Most recently, she had the opportunity to direct Hadestown: Teen Edition at her current job where she works as a high school theater director.

In addition to her directing credits, Morgan has served as a Stage Combat and Intimacy Coordinator since 2021. Her most recent credit under this title was for Hungry Teenage Track Stars by Annika Levken, produced by Broad Theater, and was nominated for a B. Iden Payne Award. She is also an active combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors. Other credits for her Stage Combat work include, In The Heights, Dashing Through The Snow, Deathtrap (The Georgetown Palace Theater), The Play That Goes Wrong (VRHS Theatre), and A Sherlock Holmes Christmas (The Archive Theater).

Morgan strives to approach each project with a fresh perspective, collaborating with amazing artists to bring high quality Theatre to local stages.
