Meet Ron Watson, the creative vision behind our upcoming production of Come From Away!
Ron’s journey with the Georgetown Palace Theatre is a true theater success story. He first graced our stage as a performer in 1998, stepped into the director’s chair in 1999, and served as Technical Director for six years before taking the helm as Executive Artistic Director in 2019.
An award-winning director with a BFA from Texas State University, Ron has helmed over 55 productions. You might recognize his dynamic work from Palace favorites like The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, The Play That Goes Wrong, A Few Good Men, Singin’ in the Rain, and Noises Off. Before shaping the artistic direction at the Palace, Ron honed his craft as Production Stage Manager for the State Theater Company and the Austin Shakespeare Festival.
Ron has loved Come From Away from the very first time he heard the music, and he is so looking forward to helping bring this amazing show to life on our stage!

Kate Evetts has spent the last 21 years as a dancer, performer, choreographer and instructor in the Austin area and is thrilled to bring her knowledge and experience back to the Springer stage! Recent credits include Georgetown Palace Theatre's production of "Oklahoma!" as well as Zilker Theatre Production's "Legally Blonde, The Musical" and "Bring it On: The Musical." She obtained her BS from The University of Texas and and went on to run her own studio for several years.

Andy returns to the Palace after conducting last season's Jesus Christ Superstar. MM from UT-Austin, now back in Texas after nearly three decades spent in the theater industry in NYC. Broadway: Aladdin, Beetlejuice, King Kong, Groundhog Day, The Little Mermaid. National tours: The Lion King, Shrek, Beetlejuice, Peter and the Starcatcher. Travel addict, tech enthusiast, and proud GenX nerd.
